Licences Explained
- How does the recurring payment system work?
- iDraft use the Direct Debit system to take initial and recurring payments. When you purchase an iDraft product, your initial and first monthly payment will be initiated within 14 days of our receipt of your order form. From then on, recurring payments will be taken on the 1st or 15th of the month.
- What is a Non-Concurrent Licence?
- Where one person wishes to use an iDraft program on two computers, but not at the same time, a non-concurrent licence may be purchased. If, for example,
a user has the program on a PC in the office and a PC at home and at no point wishes to use the program on both PCs at the same time, the user may purchase
one concurrent licence at the full price and one non-concurrent licence. Both of these computers will allow full access to the program, but only
whilst a dongle is present.
- How does iDraft know that the machines are not being used at the same time?
- To ensure this we have taken advantage of a dongle system. A dongle is a USB drive which plugs into your PC. Any PCs with non-concurrent licences, and PCs with their parent concurrent licence, will require this dongle to be present in your PC for the program to run. Should the dongle be removed, the program will cease to function until it is present again. NOTE: A dongle will only be required once non-concurrent licences have been purchased. Standard iDraft Pro First and Additional Licences do NOT require a dongle.
- Do I need a spare USB port on my PC?
- Yes. However, as well as providing our protection our dongles also provide up to 1GB of Flash storage space. This is ideal for users who wish to transfer their iDraft Bills and Claim1s easily between their home and office PCs or their laptops.
- Will I require a new dongle if I want to add a new non-concurrent licence?
- No. You will not even be required to send the dongle back to us for reprogramming. We are able to simply add the non-concurrent licences to your account with absolutely no hassle on your part.
- How do I order a Non-Concurrent Licence?
- Firstly, ensure that iDraft Pro is installed on both of the machines you wish to use. You will need the serial numbers from both machines to complete the order. Then, continue to log on to your client area. If you require a reminder of your log in details please email . Once logged in, click 'view details of your orders and add additional licences', then click 'add non concurrent iDraft Pro licences to your order'.
- What if I lose my Dongle?
- Inform us as soon as possible. As each dongle has a parent concurrent licence, we will unlock this PC to run as normal and will send you a new dongle at your expense.
